Peter has been involved in education and the arts for 35 years. Although trained as a science teacher he has been involved in photography for a similar time. He began teaching of black and white photography in Secondary Schools and was one of the early users of the Ilford Cibachrome Colour printing system in the late seventies, developing prints from transparencies which were rich in colour and detail.

Peter collaborated with Susan Fell-Mclean and Sari Wawn with Palimpsests at the 2006 Wangaratta Flow Festival. In this work Peter established a sense of place using the creative capacity of digital photographic technology to capture the way Susan’s textiles reflect the spirit and sculptural qualities of the Gooram Falls.
