 Craig's Hut was originally constructed for The Man from Snowy River movie in 1983. It was re-opened as a visitor site 10 years later, following a major rebuild.

Tragically on December 11th 2006 the popular icon of the Australian high country was destroyed by wildfire. This painting of the hut was produced from an image taken on Saturday 3rd June 2006.
